Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where are you located?
A: The Wood Floor Store
Lebanon Plaza
1271 Route 22E
P.O. Box 690, Lebanon, NJ 08833
Hunterdon County
Toll free: 877-851-5563
Q: How can you sell this so cheaply?
A: We are able to offer this flooring at a great low price because
we import the material in large container loads directly from the
South American manufacturer. It's the same premium quality
flooring you'll find elsewhere at a much higher price.
Q: Is flooring difficult to install?
A: Wood flooring installation does require some skill and special tools,
however, many homeowners do choose to install their own flooring.
There are many tutorials and videos on the web and TV, as well as
books on the subject. Please
don't hesitate to call us with any questions you might have.
Q: Would you recommend this for high-traffic areas?
A: Yes! Brazilian Cherry will outperform most other woods, especially
those found in North America. It's a fact that Brazilian
Cherry is one of the hardest woods in the world.
Q: Can I use this in my kitchen?
A: Absolutely. A fine finished wood floor can add warmth and beauty
to any any room in your home. We recommend the use of wood in
all rooms, except bathrooms. Wood flooring is less stressful
on your joints than ceramic tile or marble, which can be of
particular benefit in kitchens, where you spend a lot of time on
your feet.
Q: Can this floor be sanded and refinished in the future?
A: Yes. Solid wood floor can be sanded and refinished at least three
times
in the future, making it a great long-term investment.
Q: Will this floor change color over time?
A: All wood is said to be photosensitive (reacts to light). Brazilian
Cherry will deepen moderately in color over the first year of being
exposed to light.
Q: How hard is Brazilian Cherry?
A: Brazilian Cherry is one of the hardest exotic woods available. In
fact, your Brazilian Cherry wood floor will be twice and hard as oak
and is extremely resistant to dents.
Q: Can this flooring be delivered or shipped to me?
A: We regularly ship wood via common carrier to locations throughout
the continental U.S.A. It will be necessary for you to be
present when your shipment arrives, as the carrier will not offload
the product for you.
Q: Can you install my flooring?
A: If you live within a 30 mile radius of Lebanon, NJ, we do offer
optional installation. For customers outside of our area,
there are many qualified flooring installers who would be happy to
install flooring you've purchased yourself.
